Craig Hunt and Elizabeth Hutchins made the long trek from Connecticut to Palo Alto, CA for last weekend s Stanford Invitational, and the trip proved worthwhile. On his way to the NEC Men s Track Athlete of the Week award, Hunt completed the 10,000m run in 29:31.87 to immediately make him the favorite to capture the NEC crown. The time, which is more than 1:30 under the IC4A Championship qualifying standard, is fractions of a second off the NEC Championship meet record (29:31.29) set by collegiate record holder Samuel Chelanga in 2007.
