Central Connecticut forward Freddy Metellus (Stratford, CT/Bunnell) tallied two of the Blue Devils five goals in a 5-1 victory over A-10 foe UMass on Sunday. With a 1-0 lead just 7:52 into the game, Metellus scored his first goal when sophomore teammate Ryan Taylor (South Windsor, CT/South Windsor) sent a pass from the wing into the box for the tap-in goal. Metellus would add his second goal of the game at the 54:41 mark when classmate Ben Knight (Nottingham, UK/Burton Albion Youth Team) chased down a loose ball on the endline and sent a high cross to Metellus for the finish.
