Sacred Heart s Marc Troiani and Central Connecticut s Ronea Saunders captured individual conference crowns at the NEC Indoor Championships in February, and both appeared poised to bring possibly bring outdoor titles back to the Nutmeg State. On his way to the NEC Men s Field Athlete of the Week award, Troiani made himself the early-season favorite to capture a conference crown in the discus and the shot put. Troiani won both of those throwing events while competing at the FDU Knights Classic this past weekend.
