In search of their first team title since 2009, the Red Flash scored 33 points on Day 1 of the two-day meet. Sacred Heart, whose only team title came in 2008, finished the day in second place with 29.5 points. Only 11.5 points separate first-place SFU and fifth-place Wagner.
