Robert Morris Standout Chris Carper Wins Title in Javelin at NCAA East Prelims

Senior Chris Carper (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona) of the Robert Morris University men's track & field team needed just one throw Thursday to claim the 2014 NCAA East Preliminary Round individual championship in the javelin, breaking his own school record in the event with a toss of 73.09 meters (239'9") at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.
